Volkswagen Debuts 2017 VW Golf

Based on worldwide sales numbers, Volkswagen has produced and sold, on average, over 2,000 VW Golf models every day for the last four decades, an incredible feat for a make and model of car that has found a way to stay relevant and desirable for customers through a number of automotive and consumer trends that drove away plenty of competition.

In short, it remains one of the most successful Volkswagen cars of all time, and the good news is that Volkswagen has just released a next-generation version of the VW Golf for the 2017 model year. The model line now includes two- and four-door hatchbacks, sporty hatchbacks, and new for this year, a wagon with all-wheel drive. Also new for 2017 is the VW Golf Alltrack, similar to the Golf SportWagen but with a taller suspension and standard all-wheel drive.

Currently we sell a number of great iterations of this automobile at Tom Wood Volkswagen, including the 2017 VW Golf and 2017 VW Golf GTI, and we're excited about showing you all of the features that the newest models of the beloved vehicle can offer you. If you decide to opt for the high-performance GTI model, you can expect a lowered sport suspension, twin chrome tailpipes, LED taillights, red brake calipers, and 17-inch "Brooklyn" wheels. The sporty touches extend inside, where you'll find a special shift knob and performance instrument cluster, sport seats, a sport steering wheel, and red ambient lighting. Entertainment and comfort features range depending on model and trim-- we recommend a four-door SE model that includes a Fender audio system, a  6.5 inch infotainment system, 17-inch wheels, and telematics, among other features.

If you're looking for a zero-emission vehicle we recommend the 2017 VW e-Golf. This all-electric VW vehicle is powered by an 85-kw electric motor that gets an EPA estimated 83 miles of range and 116 MPGe.
