The color pink has come to symbolize the fight against breast cancer, and Volkswagen is hoping to do its small part in battling it by auctioning off a special edition pink 2017 Volkswagen Beetle, with all the proceeds going to Giuliana Rancic's FAB-U-WISH and The Pink Agenda, both of which raise funds for treatment and care of the disease. Not only is it a great opportunity to get a hold of a unique VW automobile, but also to support an undeniably great cause.

"The timing of the launch of #PinkBeetle makes it a natural tie-in to support the fight against breast cancer. We are proud to team with The Pink Agenda, FAB-U-WISH and Giuliana Rancic for this cause," said Vinay Shahani, senior vice president, Marketing, Volkswagen of America. "Volkswagen is committed to being an active member of the communities where we sell and service products; we hope that auctioning the #PinkBeetle will not only raise awareness for the cause, but also provide much needed funds to help find a cure."

Here at Tom Wood Volkswagen, we support any initiative that works toward something as important as the cure for cancer. The Pink Beetle first emerged at the New York Auto Show in 2015, and feedback was so positive that the automaker knew there would be an appropriate time to introduce it to a wider audience. This fundraiser is how that's all coming to fruition, and we look forward to seeing who ends up winning the auction. Like all Fishers, IN area Volkswagen fans, we also look forward to seeing how the donated funds go towards toward finding a cure for breast cancer.
