This isn't a standard Premier. The Premier Plus was a limited special edition Chevrolet added for 2019 to answer one request: customers wanted the big 6.2-liter V8 without the blacked-out RST look. So Chevy took its most luxurious Tahoe, dropped in the 420-horsepower engine and 10-speed transmission, and added polished 22-inch wheels, a head-up display, and a unique two-tone interior. It stickered north of $75,000 new, and it was only built for one model year.

Power comes from GM's 6.2L V8 producing 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, paired with a Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. Direct injection, Active Fuel Management, and variable valve timing let it make big power without constant thirst, while the 10-speed keeps revs low at highway speed. Magnetic Ride Control with performance calibration reads the road every millisecond and adjusts the shocks in 10 to 15 milliseconds â€" which is why a 5,600-pound SUV rides and corners the way this one does.
